MTT Youth Project is an alternative educational provision providing support primarily for disengaged and at-risk students. Our provision is designed to provide a safe, nurturing environment where students can continue to learn and grow, whilst also addressing the underlying issues that led to their referral.
We believe that every student deserves a chance to succeed, we are committed to providing the support and resources needed to help them achieve their goals.
At MTT we have a specialist team of educators and mentors with extensive experience in supporting disengaged and at-risk students.
Our day relief placements are usually costed at £120 per day, and negotiations can be made for students with ECHP or special requirements in order to meet individual need.
Our provision is suitable for students from years 7-11 and takes place between the hours of 10am-2pm, providing healthy lunch for all students.
Our curriculum covers English and Mathematics up to functional skills level, as well as specialist sports coaching and 1-1 wellbeing support that targets improved behaviour, attendance and crime prevention.
We understand that many students show signs of undiagnosed SEN, and ensure that our teaching and coaching styles are inclusive for all.
We specialise in engaging hard to reach students who are struggling with poor attendance or showing extreme behaviours and are on the brink of school exclusion.
We understand the reasons behind poor engagement with education and ensure that our students benefit from tailored learning environments such as small group sizes and 1-1 tuition depending on their level of need.
Our programmes teach students the self-care skills needed to manage their own wellbeing and become more resilient in school, at home and wider life.
MTT Youth Project is designed to provide a safe, nurturing environment where students can develop confidence, learn and grow into mature young adults.
Manchester Top Team is a world class environment full of positive role models and inspiring life stories, always using martial arts for sport and self-defence purposes - never for violence.

Sessions take place at our world class facilities in Ashton-Under-Lyne or on school grounds.
