Our day begins with a relaxed welcome and breakfast session.
Students are greeted by staff, settle in, and enjoy a healthy breakfast while chatting with peers and mentors.
This calm, positive start helps build routine, confidence, and connection before lessons begin.

Morning sessions focus on Maths and English Functional Skills, taught in a supportive, flexible environment.
Learning is tailored to each student’s needs — whether that’s workbook activities, practical learning, or computer-based work.
We take a child-centred approach, working closely with families to help every learner build confidence and make progress in key academic areas.

Students take a short walk into Ashton town centre with their mentor, using a daily lunch budget to make their own food choices.
This encourages independence, responsibility, and financial awareness, while giving students time to relax and socialise in a safe, supervised environment.

Afternoons combine AQA-accredited learning, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), and post-16 support — blending education, wellbeing, and future planning.
Students complete AQA Units tailored to their interests and goals, including:
🎵 Music Production 🎨 Art & Design 🥊 Boxing & Coaching 💡 Life Skills
Alongside their AQA work, post-16 learners receive structured support with:
• Exploring employment, college, and apprenticeship options
• Creating and updating CVs and personal statements
• Developing interview skills and confidence
• Learning how to apply for jobs and training opportunities
This hands-on approach helps students prepare for life beyond school while developing key workplace and personal skills.
At the same time, students take part in 1:1 or small-group MMA coaching, covering disciplines such as Striking, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Tae Kwon Do, and Thai Boxing.
These sessions build discipline, focus, and resilience, supporting both physical fitness and mental wellbeing.

We believe learning extends beyond the classroom.
Students take part in regular educational visits to broaden their experiences and connect learning to the real world.
Recent trips include the Museum of Science and Industry, Imperial War Museum, National Football Museum, and Liverpool’s World Museum.

Each student is matched with a dedicated mentor or coach who understands their interests, goals, and needs.
We offer 1:1 and small-group support, focusing on both academic progress and emotional development.
Our mentoring approach builds trust, consistency, and self-belief, ensuring every learner feels supported and empowered to achieve their potential.
